Principal Engineer - MAC Design
Description and Responsibilities
We are actively seeking a principal engineer for our 802.11ad MAC design team. The successful candidate must have recent experience developing embedded networking firmware for the consumer electronics market, including architectural design, implementation and verification.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Participate in the development of our MAC implementation, including MAC architecture, software specification, design and verification.
- Take a lead role in the development of our firmware design and implementation process.
- Interface with 3rd party contractors and IP developers in the process of our development.
- Understand system level specifications and translate them into implementation specifications.
- Participate in the lab evaluation of the silicon implementation of the designed circuits.
Requirements
B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or related field. M.Sc. highly desired.
At least 10 years of relevant industry experience, including leadership experience.
Strong background in deeply embedded firmware design using C/C++. Experience using SystemC desired.
Extensive knowledge and exposure to one or more wireless protocol such as 802.11, Bluetooth, LTE.
Strong written and oral skills are required, including an ability to clearly explain complex concepts.
Ability to work independently and take on tasks outside area of expertise.
